1. Nadat die Wet op die Beskerming van Persoonlike Inligting, No 4  van 2013 (hierna “POPIA” genoem) op 1 Julie 2021 amptelik in werking getree het, word daar vereis dat alle privaat en publieke liggame wat persoonlike inligting verwerk aan hulle werknemers opleiding moet verskaf.
  2. Die bedoeling is dat hierdie opleiding werknemers moet bemagtig om persoonlike inligting in ooreenstemming met die vereistes van POPIA te verwerk.
  3. E2 Learn, ‘n Worcester gebasseerde aanlyn opleidinginstelling het gevolglik ‘n praktiserende prokureur, Jean-Jacques Naudé van J Naudé Prokureurs op Worcester, genader om ‘n kursus te formuleer wat deur middel van ‘n 90 minuut lange aanlyn opleidingsessie aangebied kan word
  4. Hierdie kursus sal aan ondernemings dwars oor die sakesektor die geleentheid bied om hulle werknemers, wat persoonlike inligting hanteer, voldoende te laat oplei om aan die opleidingsvereistes van POPIA te voldoen.
  5. Alle sessies word op instruksie van E2 Learn deur Mnr. Naudé persoonlik aangebied en die volgende aspekte sal onder andere as deel van die kursus behandel word:
    5.1   wat is POPIA en wie is verplig om aan die terme en bepalings hiervan te voldoen;
    5.2   wat behels persoonlike inligting;
    5.3   wat behels die prosessering of verwerking van persoonlike inligting;
    5.4   die vereistes vir die regmatige prosessering van persoonlike inligting;
    5.5   praktiese implikasies wat deur POPIA meegebring word; en
    5.6   gevolge van nie-nakoming.
  1. Na afloop van die opleidingsessie sal werknemers wat die opleiding bygewoon het ook die geleentheid hê om vrae te vrae, wat deur Mnr. Naudé beantwoord sal word.
  2. By voltooiing van opleiding sal u onderneming skriftelike bevestiging ontvang wat sal dien as bewys van die opleiding wat verleen is en werknemers sal van ‘n sertifikaat voorsien word, wat bevestig dat hy/sy die opleidingsessie ontvang het.
  3. Kostes vir opleiding beloop R699.00 per werknemer wat die opleidingsessie bywoon en E2 Learn kan direk genader word om nadere besonderhede in die verband te bekom.
  4. Indien u voortaan nie weer van soortgelyke korrespondensie voorsien wil word nie, is u meer as welkom om op hierdie skrywe te reageer en ons van u wens in die verband te verwittig.
  1. After the Protection of Personal Information Act, No. 4 of 2013, (hereafter referred to as “POPIA) officially came into effect on 1 July 2021, it became a requirement for all public and private bodies that attend to the processing of personal information to ensure that all their employees that deal with personal information receive training on how such information should be dealt with.
  2. The intention is that this training should empower employees to process personal information in accordance with the provisions as provided for in POPIA.
  3. E2 Learn subsequently approached Jean-Jacques Naudé, an attorney practicing as such at J Naudé Attorneys in Worcester, to compile a training course to be presented during a 90-minute online training session.
  4. This course will provide a wide range of businesses with the opportunity to properly train their staff members that are dealing with personal information to comply with the training requirements as imposed by POPIA.
  5. All sessions will be attended to by Mr. Naudé personally on the instruction of E2 Learn and the following aspects will inter alia be discussed during said session:
  • what is POPIA and who must comply;
  • what is considered to be personal information;
  • what is meant by the processing of personal information;
  • the requirements for the lawful processing of personal information;
  • practical implications that is manifesting as a result of POPIA;
  • consequences of non-compliance.
  1. After the training session, employees will be provided with the opportunity to address questions to Mr. Naudé.
  2. Upon completion of the training, your business will be furnished with written confirmation that will serve as proof of the training that was provided and every employee that attended the session will be provided with a certificate to confirm that he/she received training.
  3. Training will be provided at a rate of R699.00 per person attending the session and E2 Learn can be contacted directly to provide further information in this regard.
